To strengthen its commitment to gender equality and development, Cavite State University (CvSU), through its Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC), conducted the 2024 GAD Planning and Budgeting Workshop on September 14, 2023, at the Veranda, Hostel Tropicana.

The workshop provided a platform for strategic planning and collaborative discussions among GAD coordinators and alternates of different campus/college/units.

Planning Office Director Mr. Orlando B. Delos Reyes emphasized the critical role of GAD initiatives in fostering inclusivity and addressing gender disparities within the university community.

Meanwhile, Extension Services Head of Training and Courseware Development Division Ms. Raecel A. Estebat provided a comprehensive orientation on the Guidelines for the Preparation of the GAD Plan and Budget, emphasizing the need to integrate gender considerations into the overall planning process. She encouraged GAD coordinators and alternates to regularly review and revise their GAD plans and budgets, adapting to changing circumstances and evolving insights into gender issues.

Participants engaged in a hands-on workshop where they crafted their respective Campus/College/Unit GAD Plan and Budgets, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and a tailored approach to addressing gender-specific needs within diverse units of the university.

Financial Management Services Office Director Ms. Asuncion R. Reyes expressed gratitude for the active participation and collective effort invested in the workshop, emphasizing the importance of integrating gender perspectives into budgeting processes and the commitment to translating plans into impactful actions.
